What you can actually do

Tech Tool goes well past reading codes. On supported trucks it programs the Engine ECM, Aftertreatment Control Module, Transmission ECU and Vehicle ECU, adjusts parameters (PTO, idle shutdown, road-speed limit, clutch adaptations), and runs guided tests and calibrations. It's the tool for injector programming after a swap and for clearing aftertreatment faults that keep a truck in derate.

Two things to know before you buy

  1. You need a Vocom or Vocom II adapter (88890300 / 88894000) — Tech Tool won't connect through a generic cable.
  2. Some operations sync online, so the software expects a login at least every 90 days.
