What the software does

Read and clear fault codes with freeze-frame data, run bi-directional tests (aftertreatment/DPF regen, cylinder cut-out), view live parameters, and change customer parameters like road speed and idle shutdown on supported trucks. Aftertreatment and EGR faults — the most common reason a MaxxForce derates — are front and center.

Adapter

An RP1210 interface (Nexiq USB-Link 2/3 or equivalent) connects your laptop to the 9-pin or 16-pin diagnostic port.
