Allison Transmission Programming & Diagnostic Tools

Allison automatic transmissions have their own diagnostic language — Allison DOC is the software that speaks it. This collection covers the tool for shops working on Allison-equipped trucks, buses and vocational rigs.

Transmissions covered

  • 1000 / 2000 series — medium-duty trucks, shuttle buses, motorhomes
  • 3000 / 4000 series — refuse, fire, dump, coach and heavy vocational
  • TC10 — on-highway tractor

What it does

  • Read and clear transmission fault codes with full descriptions
  • Live data for the TCM, sensors and solenoids
  • Clutch and pressure tests to pinpoint a slip or harsh shift
  • Calibration ID checks and calibration updates
  • Reset service indicators and fluid/filter life monitors

Allison faults share the truck's data bus, so DOC connects through a standard RP1210 interface (Nexiq USB-Link or similar) on the 9-pin/16-pin port.
