What it does

Read and clear codes across all modules (not just engine), view and graph live data, run bi-directional output tests, program and configure control modules, perform relearns (throttle, crank/cam, immobilizer), and reset service items. This is the level of access needed for module setup after a replacement — something a basic OBD reader can't do.

Connecting

A GM MDI/MDI2 pass-thru interface (or compatible J2534 device) links your laptop to the vehicle.
